Earning your graduate degree is just the first step in achieving career success in higher education. I know better than most the obstacles that await academicians in colleges and universities, particularly women of color.
That is why I offer faculty and administrator consulting at Black Girl Brilliance, LLC in Charlotte, NC.
My services cater to women of color in the teaching profession who have hit a brick wall in their academic careers.
It is a little known fact to many outside of higher education that women of color often struggle to climb the academic ladder through no fault of their own. Many colleges and universities fail to seek out diversity in their faculty positions.
I have witnessed firsthand how this leads to a glass ceiling where highly qualified educators are forced to take their talents into other fields even though higher education is a profession where there is a great need for diversity. I developed my faculty and administrator consulting services at Black Girl Brilliance, LLC in Charlotte in order to help other women of color break through that glass ceiling and achieve academic success.
